IMPHAL, December 27: There will be no representation from the Naga People’s Front in the all political party delegation which is scheduled to meet the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister regarding the Chandel incident.
The decision to appraise the state of affairs in the state with relevance to the Chandel incident was taken in a conference attended by all political parties of the state at the conference hall of the CM bungalow on December 25 last.
Talking to IFP in the regard, secretary of NPF, Athuan Abonmei said that the decision of not partaking in the delegation was in regard of the inefficiency of the Manipur government in talking the Chandel incident.
It said that a positive conclusion will not brought by meeting the Union Home Minister or Prime Minister in regard to the issue. It is an unfortunate incident and the matter was left to be deliberated and the necessary cost of action to be taken up by the state government at the meeting held at CM bungalow by the NPF representatives.
It may be mention that 28 members represented 16 political parties at the mention conference. The NPF was represented by its general secretary Honreikhul Kashung and secretary Athuan Abonmei.
