IMPHAL, December 30: The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) Manipur State Committee observed its 42nd Foundation Day at the Children Home at Tera Keithel.
According a released of the student body, during the function the SFI Manipur State Committee donated bags of potato to the orphan home. A two minutes silence was also observed as a mark of respect for the departed soul of journalist Dwijamani.
A charter of demands was chalked out at the foundation day function including calling for the arrest and punishment of NSCN(IM) cadre Livingstone, repeal of AFSPA from Manipur, Job guarantee and education guarantee to all, formation of a body to look into commercialisation of education, provision of up-to-date infrastructures of government schools and colleges and adequate reservation for minority and tribal students.
SFI, Manipur will begin to look after the government schools under ZEO. Zone I and II when the new session starts, the release added.
