IMPHAL, December 14: the JAC against the missing of Soibam Surjakanta and JAC against the missing of Thokchom Birjit and Wide Angle Social Development Organisation has jointly organised a sit-in-protest cum a public meeting at Yurembam Awang KG Lampak, Imphal today.
According to a press release, both the JAC has demanded that if any organisation has any involvement regarding this issue then they should kindly release both the children without any condition and harm. Under the UNCRC resolution it is mandatory that no organisation or outfit can recruit a child under the age of 18 years, it said.
It further said that the JAC will appeal to all authority concern of the state government to initiate an enquiry on the incident at the earliest.
The JAC has staged a sit in protest from 13 to 15 December and it further said that they will put up their course of action until and unless the release of both the children, it added.
