IMPHAL, December 19: A one day training cum–awareness programme on farmer’s Right in the regime of PPV and FR Act 2001 was held today at the conference hall of the Central Agriculture University, Iroisemba organised by the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, College of Agriculture, Central Agriculture University (CAU).
The inaugural function was attended by Dr S N Puri, Vice Chancellor, CAU, Dr M Premjit, Director of Extension, CAU, Dr N Iboton Singh, Dean of College of Agriculture, CAU and Dr M Rohinikumar, Director of Research, CAU as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively. The training programme cum- awareness was attended by more than 100 farmers from Imphal East and Imphal West.
