IMPHAL, December 11: The third Session of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly has been summoned to start from December 19 at the New Assembly Hall, Chingmeirong.
The two day session will conclude on the following day.
The House will conduct obituary references, if any on the first day of the third session and on the following day the House will conduct questions, government business, if any, presentation of committee report, if any and private members’ business, if any.
Meanwhile, according to a source, for the smooth functioning of the ensuing Session several security measures have been taken up.
It is learnt that vehicles of the Chief Minister, Speaker, Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, Chairman (HAC), Parliamentary Secretaries and MLAs shall enter through Gate No. 1 and park their vehicles at the Parking No.1 on the Northern Side of the Assembly Hall and exit through Gate No.2.
The vehicles of government officers from the level of Commissioner and above shall enter through Gate No.2. After the officers alight at the Main Entrance Door (Basement), the vehicles shall exit by the same gate and park their vehicles near the compound wall of the Assembly Secretariat. The vehicles shall enter by the same gate to pick up the officers at the time of the departing.
The vehicles of Government Secretariat and Departments shall not enter the Assembly Campus. They shall park their vehicles near the compound wall of the Assembly Secretariat and enter through Gate No.2. All Officers shall deposit their Mobile Handsets to the Security (CID) personnel deployed on duty at the Assembly Hall (Main Entrance Door) at basement.
All vehicles of the Escort Parties shall not enter the Assembly Campus. However, all the P.S.O(s) shall enter the Assembly Campus through the Gate No.3 without arms and exit by the same gate or with the concerned MLAs through Gate No.2. Owing to Health ground of the Revenue Minister, his P.S.O. shall enter to Gate No.1 without arms.
The Private vehicles of all employees of Assembly Secretariat, Press Media and Employees of P.W.D. and Simplex Company Employees posted at Manipur Legislative Assembly shall enter through Gate No.3 on the Western Side of the Assembly Hall and park their vehicles at the Parking No.2 and enter the Assembly Hall through the Main Entrance Door situated at the western side of the Hall and exit by the same gate.
The official vehicles of the Assembly Secretariat holding White Car Pass, Medical Team and Fire Tenders of the Manipur Fire Service shall enter through Gate No.2 and park inside the western side of the Assembly compound near Parking No. 2: and exit by the same gate.
The vehicles of visitors shall not be allowed to enter the Assembly Compound. They shall park their vehicles near the compound wall of the Assembly Secretariat and enter through Gate No.2.
Fire arms/materials not related with the Business of the House, if any, in possession of the Members shall be deposited with the Security personnel on duty (Marshal Staff).
All Assembly Secretariat Staff should invariably display their photo ID card.
No construction/renovation works is to be continued during Assembly Session.
