IMPHAL, January 15: An elderly person was killed while two of his friends were injured when a Honda City hit them this evening around 4:20pm at Bishnunaha Siphai Leikai under Yairipok Police. The three were chatting at a waiting shed when the vehicle hit them killing one while injuring the two others. The dead has been identified as Laishram Damodar, 74 of Yairipok Bishnunaha Siphai Leikai. Police has deposited the dead body at the JNIMS mortuary for post mortem.
Meanwhile, the dead body of a Honda Activa borne man who died after a Diesel auto hit his moped yesterday afternoon around 2:30pm at Wangjing Uningkhong under Tbl Police was handed over to family members after post mortem was conducted at the JNIMS mortuary. The victim identified as Mayengbam Shamu, 57 of Khongjom Sapam Mayai Leikai, succumbed to his injuries on the way to Shija Hospital. Another person identified as Mayengbam Iboyai, 54 was also injured in the accident.
