IMPHAL, January 16: The bomb attack at the residence of HTC president Jangmang at Moreh on January is an act of barbarism, said a press release of the All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur while condemning the incident.
It has also condemned the December 18 North AOC reported hit and run incident.
“The deceased M Awungashi Nganaongai who was the headmaster of Frontier High School came all the way from New Tusom Ukhrul District to collect HSLC form for the students,” the release further said.
“The torching of Ukhrul DC`s vehicle (Scorpio) aftermath the incident of Kongkan Thana by a furious mob and vandalism at Ukhrul town on Dec 30 is very unfortunate. Such kind of irrational destruction of property tantamount to loss, whether private or public. We appeal to all not to resort to such kind of act in the future. Ex-gratia for the two deceased family must be given as is done according to the gravity of the case and nature of crime,” it added.
