LAMKA, Jan 8: The passing out parade of the 201 and 202 batches of the Border Security Force( BSF) took place at the subsidiary training center( STC) at Gangpimual in Churachandpur today. Sudesh Kumar, IG Frontier Meghalaya took the salute in a solemn function and administered the oath taking ceremony for 426 news recruits. A cultural program, which was part of the passing out parade celebrations was dropped following the suicide of a Jawan. It may be mentioned that there are six BSF STCs in India of which, the Churachandpur center is one, catering to the training of Assam, Meghlaya,Nagaland and Manipur carders. Apart from training BSF personel, which is one of the largest para military force in the world, the center also trains personnel from the state police.
