C Upendra during his speech said,” Manipur is a homeland of different tribes and communities,” and added, “it is unfortunate that the Government of India is trying to undermine the unity of the people of the state.

He also lamented the government`s role of divide and rule policy in the state and said that it is very wrong.

“The Central government will gain nothing from disintegrating the boundary of Manipur. The state government must be strong enough to stand to safeguard the integrity of the state,” he said while blaming the state government on its weakness in stopping illegal taxes on the National Highways by the NSCN-IM.

Stating that the formation of “Supra State or Alternative Arrangement” has been opposed by the people of Manipur, he continued that people of different communities need to be aware that all these problems are created by the government.

The retired session Judge also said that one must know that the general secretary of NSCN-IM Muivah is from Manipur and that he should also think of his birth place and not seek a high post for himself in New Nagaland.
