IMPHAL, Jan 23: A team of Imphal East Commandoes have arrested one active member of the KCP (MC) cadre identified as Thangjam Babiter Singh alias Peter (28) son of Th Ibobi Singh of Pungdongbam Awang Leikai, Lamlai PS from Pungdongbam Awang Leikai, said a press release of the SP Imphal East. “On verification, he stated that he had joined the said organization under one lrungbam Mahen Singh, 34 in the year 2009”, said the release. “On further verification, he stated that he was involved in extortion of money from the general public, private as well as public firms etc. and in transportation of arms, ammunitions and explosives several times from one place to another place”, it said.
