Kejriwal`s Aam Aadmi party in Manipur

IMPHAL, Jan 27: The Aam Aadmi Party which was launched by Arvind Kejriwal last year will soon make its appearance in Manipur also.This was stated at a press briefing at the Manipur Press Club. Habung Payeng, a former Information Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh and a National Executive Member  (North East) and Gurpreet Singh Uppal, National Executive Member announced that the party has established its base in 12 states till now.

Highlighting that the motto of the party is to become an anti corruption political party, they said that the UPA led Central government had failed to pass the Lokpal Bill. “If the bill is passed, members of most political parties will be behind bars,” they said while maintaining that the parties were not interested in passing the bill which is pending at the Rajya Sabha.

They said the agenda for the party is to work for Swaraj and to bring in decentralization of power from grass roots level like the Panchayat. They further maintained that political parties have no right to misuse the money which is sanctioned for the welfare of the public and that the present existing systems of corruption has to be changed.
