IMPHAL, Jan 17: The Wild Wing of Forest Department, Manipur in collaboration with various locals clubs/ NGOs will be conducting a water bird census in the Loktak Lake of Manipur on the 19th January from 5 am to 1 pm. The surrounding peoples in the area have been requested not to lay fishing nets and to stay away from the lake on the said day and time so as to enable the water bird census successfully as per a press released from K Angami, Chief Wildlife Warden, Government of Manipur.
