IMPHAL, Jan 12: In a press release the Secretary of Publicity and Propaganda, Maoist Communist Party, Manipur has expressed heartfelt anguish on the demise of Comrade Hijam Bisharup @ Pritam, 34 of Nongren Khul, Lamlai and who was staying at Sanakeithel, Ukhrul District as in charge of Maoist Communist Party, Thoubal District.
The statement alleged that the party suspects foul-play regarding the death of the cadre and stated that it has appointed new Comrade Nelson Meetei as the comrade in charge of Thoubal District to conduct a further investigation into his death. It also announced that all the activities of the party will be invalidated in Yairipok, Chandrakhong and Salungpham area.
