IMPHAL, Jan 16: A press release from the Media Adviser, RIMS has stated that the Department of Anatomy, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, will host the 62nd National Conference of Anatomical Society of India in November 2014 as per an announcement by Prof N. Damayanti, Head of Anatomy Department, RIMS today. Over 1200 delegates are expected to participate in the conference which will be the second of its kind in Manipur since 1989.
As per the release, the Anatomy department will be upgraded to provide all facilities to 150 students. At the moment there are 100 students in the department. According to Prof S. Sekharjit, the RIMS Director, the opening of an Institute of Paramedical Science in RIMS is in the process.
