IMPHAL, Jan 16: The 8th Surin International Folklore Festival 2013 began today participated by around 300 participants from 15 different countries at Suring province Thailand.
According to a press release, 26 participants from the state are also attending the festivalincluding a cultural group sponsored by Department of Art & Culture, Government of Manipur.
“Thougal Jagoi” from Manipur was the first opening performance of the day among the participating countries.
