IMPHAL, Jan 31: The District Youth Convention 2012-13 was held today at B Vengnom Community Hall, Tuiboung Block, Churachandpur attended by Demmang Haokip, Vice Chairman, ADC/Churachandpur as chief guest; David Piaklian, MPS, SDPO, Churachandpur as guest of honour in place of L Mangkhogin Haokip, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Churachandpur; Paokholal Haokip (Ex. NSV), Member, ADC/Churachandpur as special guest and Jakie Ruivah, Zonal Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Manipur Zone as functional president, said a DIPR release.
Demmang Haokip speaking as chief guest of the programme encouraged the youth to refrain from Drugs use and distributed Outstanding Youth Club Award -2012, said the release.
The programme ended with vote of thanks from D Khuala Vaiphei, Project Manager NRHM (Member DACYP).
