IMPHAL, February 25: As per the order of the district Magisrate, Chandel District, 144 Cr. PC is imposed in Chandel in view of likelihood of causing serious breach of peace, disturbance to public tranquility and grave danger to human lives and properties in the area because of the Bandh /blockade of the Blangadesh, China, India and Myanmar (BCIM) Car Rally by the KSDC and it prohibits assembly of five or more persons which is likely to turn unlawful in the area, carrying of sticks, stones, firearms and weapons of any other descriptions or objects which can be used as offensive weapons within the said area from 6 a.m. to 27 February till the BCIM car rally passes through Moreh. This order shall not apply to the agencies of the Government involved in the enforcement of law and order, officers/officials involved in the district administration. Persons who want to take out processions for marriages, funeral and religious purposes etc within the scheduled area may apply to the District Magistrate, Chandel for permission and they shall not take out procession until the permission is obtained by them.
