IMPHAL, February 25: A man who has been charged of murdering his own wife by stabbing her has been remanded to five days police custody by the Court today.
According to the police, the accused who has been remanded to five says police custody by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC), Bishnupur has been identified as Yengdrembam Ibotombi Singh, 48, son of Y Leirenjao Singh of Malom Tulihal Makha Leikai under Nambol police station.
His deceased wife has been identified as Ingudam Ningol Yendrembam Ongbi Sumati, 45. She succumbed to her injury after she was stabbed on the left portion of her chest.
The dead body was handed over to her family today after a post mortem was conducted at RIMS morgue.
