IMPHAL, February 8: The executive members, ADC, Ukhrul in its meeting contempt and rejected the constitution of Composite Inspection Team (CIT) by the Executive Director/DC, Ukhrul for projects implemented and monitored at district level through DRDA without the approval of the chairman, said a release of ADC, Ukhrul.
“It also discussed the ED’s attempt to wrest the control of functions from the elected local self government. The ED also conducted programme implementations and functioning without the approval of the Chairman, ADC/DRDA,” it further said.
“It is therefore, informed to all the headmen/chiefs/chairmen, VDCs, headmasters/headmistresses, SMDCs etc to take a right decision in conducting monthly assembly and attending the various programmes taken up under DRDA Ukhrul,” it added.
