IMPHAL, February 12: In accordance with the resolution passed in ATDUM general council convention held on 4th February, 2013, All Tribal Disabled Union Manipur said in press release that it will impose 72 hours bandh w.e.f. 17 February midnight to 20 February mid night in all hill districts of Manipur following the State Government’s failure to give any positive response against the demands till date. The demands made earlier had included establishment /construction of a special school with hostel facility at a tribal district for tribal physically challenged persons as per the provision of disabilities Act, 1995, setting up/ construction of an special vocations training centre with hostel facility for tribal physically challenged persons, decentralisation of issue of issue of disability certificate, appointment of st-handicapped candidates in the graduate teachers of RMSA, fee exemption and separate examination hall/centre for TET examination at all hill district headquarters etc.
