Bal Shree awardees cry for Bal Bhavan

IMPHAL, February 17: In a media interaction with Bal Shree Aawrdees at the Bal Bhavan Khuman Lampak; students of the Bal Bhavan shared their grievances over the attitude of the state govt. attitude towards the Bal Bhavan complex.
They said that the construction of an Indoor Hall for sporting within the Bal Bhavan complex is unfortunate. 
A student said the state govt is more attentive to sports while neglecting the children who are the future of the nation.
She said that the building is worn out and become a hazardous zone for the children.
The frequent entry of big machineries like bull dozers, and excavators jeopardize the environment for the children playing around, added another student.
It may be mentioned that the Manipur Bal Bhavan is regarded to be the top in India with 19 and another yet to  be felicitated Bal Shree Awardee.
Manipur is the only state in North Eastern India with Bal Shree Awardees.
Bal Bhavan Khuman Lampak was inaugurated by then Governor of Manipur, Chintamani Parigrahi on November 12, 1989.
The interaction today was attended by children of the Bal Bhavan including Creative Science 2010 awardee Marina Khumanthem; Creative Scientific Innovation 2011 awardee, Chingakham Chanulamnganbi and Creative Arts 2010 awardee Chingakham Barum and others.
