IMPHAL, February 10: The Unified People’s Struggle Committee today flagged off its campaign against the failure of proper Public Distribution System in the state. A week long awareness campaign fwas lagged off from the office of the Marxism Learning Centre, RIMS Road.
The purpose of the campaign is to have street corner meeting on PDS and render awareness to the public especially those living below poverty line. The said campaign will go district to district to wide spread awareness regarding the rights to food and about the public distribution system of the state Government, said the organizers.
It may be mentioned that United People’s Committee has been formed in collaboration with different Civil Society Organisations of the state.
The flag off function was attended by the Chief Advisor the committee, N Binoy Singh; Advisor Ch Gopalmacha Singh and President RK Radhesana Devi.
