IMPHAL, Feb 7: A team of 30 selected NSS volunteers comprising of 15 girls and 15 boys under National Service Scheme Cell Manipur University has left Imphal on February 6 for participation in the 7 days Mega Comprehensive Training on Life Skills, Citizenship and Peer Education to be conducted at the Don Bosco Institute, Guwahati, Assam, said a release NSS Cell, MU.
The training organized by the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute for Youth Development (RGNIYD) will be held during February 8 to 14 at the Institute, it said.
The team led by L Kameih, NSS Programme Officer of Damdei Christian College has been flagged off by Dr. Ch. Ibohal Singh, Programme Co-ordinator, NSS Cell Manipur University from the University Campus, it said.
Altogether 250 youth volunteers of the North East would be trained by dividing them into 6 mixed teams and 6 experts will train them concurrently during the period, it added.
