KOHIMA, Feb 6 (NEPS): INC candidate for Northern Angami-II Prasilie Pienyu said they needed a drastic change not only for his constituency but also the entire state so that the state could development at par with the rest of the country.
Talking to North East Press Service here Wednesday, the INC candidate for the Northern Angami – II Assembly constituency said there was no development at all in his constituency. “In the last 10 years, no development in my constituency and whatever fund came went to only henchmen of sitting MLA who is also a senior Cabinet Minister,” he said adding, “We need a change in my constituency and in the state as well.”
Pienyu also said the situation in the State capital was pathetic and needed an “overhaul” with a leader who has a vision for the future generations. “If we allow the present situation to continue, it will be disastrous for the future of Kohima which is the face of the State,” he pointed out. “As such at this very moment, a drastic change is required so as to see that developmental things are taking place and fund meant for the general public reach them.”
The INC candidate for the Northern Angami-II also said so many things should be done for the capital Kohima—“there is no proper roads, no water supply and even electricity is so bad.”
