IMPHAL, February 10: A combined team of Imphal East and Imphal West police commandos under the supervision of Addl SP (OPs), IE, M Rajen Singh, arrested two KYKL cadres from Palace Compound in front of the HERICUN Office building on February 8 at about 7:25 pm, said a police release.
According to the release, the arrested persons have been identified as Md Muhibur alias Inaocha (34) son of (L) Md Nawaj Khan of Pangal Leirak 2nd Road, Porompat and Laishram Tiken Singh (28) son of L Achou Singh of Yairipok Huidrom Leikai presently staying at Moirang Khunou.
On verification, they stated that they are active members of KYKL organization and that they are working under one self styled captain Lakpa of KYKL since one year back, the release said.
Further, on the same day at about 11: 10 pm, one more KYKL cadre identified as Oinam Ranjit Singh alias Inao (35) son of O Dhakayaima Singh of Kongpal Naoroibam Leikai was also arrested from his residence, the release said.
Furthermore, they stated that they came to Palace Compound area to meet two cadres of KCP Lalheiba group, who are now with URF and sent by Lalheiba for executing the task of killing Kunjamohon, Secretary of the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur, the release added.
