Manipur,IMPHAL, February 4 (NNN): The NSCN-K has warned truckers plying on the Highways to pay up their `dues`. “It’s constrained to intimate all concerned that transporters plying on both National Highways: that is NH2 (Dimapur-Imphal) and NH42 (Silchar-Imphal) are to clear their dues payable to our government, GPRN/NSCN and update outstanding taxes. Backlogs of 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 should be clear within this time i.e. on or before February 10, 2013. Lest no transporter vehicle should ply on both highway until an understanding is made. Mutual cooperation are timely redressal of grievances effecting all concerned should only help to maintain stability in the area,” said a notification fromG.F.Smith Deputy Secretary in charge of revenue, trade and commerce of the outfit.
The NSCN-K notification has also warned of `stringent action against defaulters` adding that any unwanted incidence arising out of negligence will be the responsibility of transporters and not the outfit.
