IMPHAL, February 12: The Joint Action Committee of Service Association of Navodaya Vidyalaya Sammeti today staged a sit-in protest at Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya, Khumbong, Imphal West demanding Government of India CCS Pension for all employees who had joined prior to 1.1.2004, 10% special allowance to non-teaching staff, MACPS to teaching staff, creation of PGT in Modern Indian languages, appointment of warden and matron on permanent basis, defining working hours for all categories of employees, timely promotion to all staff and conducting the departmental promotion test yearly, restoration of earned leave to teaching staff/ vacation staff in addition to half pay leave, weekly off to all categories of staff, honouring court judgements, stepping up of pay of seniors with that of their juniors among various other service related demands.
