No ban on Bharat Nirman Campaign

MOREH, February 24: Three day Bharat Nirman Campaign Public Information campaign will be organised under the aegis of Press Information Bureau, Imphal from February 26 to 28 at Moreh.

At a press conferenece at Moreh rest house, Premlata Loitam, media and communication officer, Imphal said that the campaign to be held at Moreh is the 14th campaign held in Manipur.

She said that the main objective of the campaign is to bring the flagship programmes initiated by the UPA government to the public. People will not be able to avail the programmes if what flagship programmes have been taken up by the government has come to light. She appealed to participate in the campaign and take the advantage of it.

She further said that all the programmes taken up by them will be exhibited during the campaign with 20 governement and private exhibition stalls opening. A DAVP photo exhibition will be held. Nokfade and artistes of song and drama division, Imphal will perform Lila, song and dance programmes. Speaking at the press meet, Thangtong baite,Chairprson of Kuki State Demand Committee, Chandel said that the general strike called by the committee will not impose a ban on the Bharat Nirman campaign to be held at Moreh. The strike will be relaxed when the officials of the government of Manipur to be participated in the campaign and resource persons come along Moreh road. Vehicles of the officials should have the words “Bharat Nirman words”. The representatives of various communities and the public will participate in Bharat Nirman campaign. Meeti, Muslim, Tamil, Nepali, Punjabi, Marwari and tribals also will take part in the campaign.
