IMPHAL, February 8: 34 cadres of the UPPK are still at a camp in Eastern Nagaland after the `rescue` of 44 UPPK cadres by a team of the Thoubal Police Commandos led by its OC Inspector M Sudhir on February 3 from Moreh, informed a source.
Following the rescue operation there is no UPPK cadre at the Leipok camp at Tamu sub-division of Myanmar, the source added.
The remaining 34 cadres are sharing a camp with the NSCN (K) at Eastern Nagaland and is said to be led by one s/s sgt Zou from Sugunu, informed a reliable source.
It is also learnt that the top functionaries of the outfit who were rescued recently and who are presently staying at the 27 Assam Rifles camp at Kakching Lamkhai Old Airport and other cadres of the outfit who are with the Assam Rifles from before have been contacting the NSCN (K) to let the UPPK cadres staying with the Naga outfit at Eastern Nagaland to leave the camp after withholding their weapons.
The source also said that if they are allowed to come out from the Eastern Nagaland camp then the Assam Rifles postes at Mon District of Nagaland could receive them.
Meanwhile, out of the 44 UPPK cadres `rescued` from Moreh, the names of 21 have been established.

The women cadres are s/s pt Konthoujam Saya alias Lamganbi Devi (26) daughter of K Chandra if Sangaithel makha leikai; s/s pt Chochong alias Ayangbi (23) daughter of TT Paite of Moreh Ward No 8 Khunou Leikai; s/s PT Lhingbam alias Jeena (20) daughter of JT paite of Moreh Ward No 8 Khunou Leikai, said the source.
The lone Katampur Liberation Organisation woman cadre is identified as Sapana alias Jughy (27) daughter of Sunil Burman of Assam, Bilaspara sub-division, Dubri district.
Further according to the source, the weapons they brought include four 9mm pistols, with 21 rounds; two HK 33 with 53 Magazine and 53 rounds of ammunition; A2 – (AK-LMG) with magazine and 107 rounds of ammunition; one Lethod gun with 20 shells and three Chinese hand Grenades with three detonators.
