IMPHAL, February 4: Demanding for the authorities to find the culprit behind the death of one Goroba alias Ajit of Kongpal Chingangbam Leikai, people of the locality came out to the streets and blocked the Tinsid Road starting from this morning 6am.
The road block will be continued till 6pm tomorrow, said protestors.
The dead body of Goroba alias Ajit (35) son of O Madan was reportedly discovered by a bunch of youths of Khurai Sajor Leikai while trying to lift a chunk of biomass at a paddy field where they had gone for fishing.
Goroba had been missing since December 10, 2012 after he had left home for a musical concert.
Meanwhile, several women of the locality were seen imposing the road block throughout the day by bringing out benches and desks, which they used to put up as road blocks.
The protestors demanded swift action from the authorities and that all those involved be given properly punished.
