IMPHAL, March 24:The Minister of Works and Transport, Dr Kh Ratankumar today inaugurated the 69th Battalion camp campus road in a function held at the camp of the 69th Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Mantripukri. The Works and Transport Minister who was given a guard of honor also inspected the infrastructure of the Battalion.
Apart from Dr Kh Ratankumar Minister Works and Transport who was the chief guest of the function, other dais members included S P Singh, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Manipur and Nagaland, Rakesh Kumar, Commandant Officer of 69 Battalion Mantripukhri camp and other high ranking officers and personnel of the CRPF.
Giving a welcome and keynote address of the function, the Commandant thanked the Minister of Works and Transport Department, Government of Manipur for assistance in developing the road connectivity inside the campus along with assisting with other infrastructures inside the campus.
Speaking at the function S P Singh, IGP Manipur and Nagaland sector CRPF also conveyed his gratitude to the Minister and presented a memento to him.
Speaking at the function, Dr Kh Ratankumar said that the security personnel who are deployed in the state provide safety and security to the people of the state, leaving their family, friends and their nearest one in their native places.
He further said that it is the duty of the state government to help them in whatever possible way in every field regarding their campus infrastructures or in other ways and that the state government is always ready to help them in every way possible.
Giving a vote of thanks of the function, P K Singh, Second in command of 69 battalion CRPF said that CRPF being a force are in the state to assist the state police in restoring the law and order in the state and conveyed his gratitude to the State Works and Transport minister for taking initiative to improve the infrastructure of the Battalion.
Later, the State Works and Transport Minister interacted with the officers and jawans of the Battalion.
