IMPHAL, March 1: G. Tomba Sharma, Former Principal D M College of Science, Imphal has been awarded the National Award for Outstanding Efforts in Science and Technology Communication through Print Media including Books and Magazines for the year 2012″, instituted by the NCSTC (National Council for Science & Technology Communication),Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The award, consisting of Rs 1,00,00 (one lakh) was given away by the Hon`ble Union Minister of Science and Technology, Shri S. Jaipal Reddy at a function in Raman Auditorium, Technology Bhawan, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of india on 28 Feb. 2013 on the occasion of the National Science Day.
