Congress on nation building path: Works Min Kh Ratan

IMPHAL, March 10:”Young people are the backbone of society, irrespective of whether they are male or female,” said Minister Works & Transport, Dr Kh Ratan Kumar who also holds the post of Treasurer of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee during his speech at the function of the reception and distribution of Indian Youth Congress Membership I-Cards to representatives of the Langthabal Block Congress Committee.

The function was held at the Maibam Leikai Community Hall and was organized by Langthabal Block Congress Committee (LBCC)

Dr Ratan Kumar further said that participation of youths in the state administration is a dream of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice president Rahul Gandhi.

‘Youths are the pillar of the Nation’, he said and added that the experiences during youth will contribute to the process of becoming future leaders of the nation.

He said that proper training and active social participation of the youths is necessary.

The Minister Works & Transport expressed that Congress party is working with an objective to nation building rendering special campaign to the congress youths under the leadership of National Students Union of India (NSUI) in charge Rahul Gandhi.

Minister Ratan Kumar said  that youth leaders will be appointed in a truly democratic manner. He concluded saying that the newly elected youth leaders must rightfully carry out their duties.

President LBCC M Basanta Singh, General Secretary MPCC & Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports (YAS) Km L Tilotama, Secretary MPCC i/c Imphal West II & Parliamentary Sec Md Amin Shah and President Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC) Md Amir Hussain jointly distributed Indian Youth Congress Membership Identity Cards to the Langthabal Block Youth Congress Committee.

Guest of honour L Tilotama said that there will be soon a training camp to be organized for the Congress youths in the Lanthabal Block. She said that all the Congress youths must participate in the upcoming camp.

Md Amir Hussain gave a call to enroll more youths into the Congress to make the party a stronger political party. He said that till date, there are more than 42,000 youths enrolled as Congress youth members out of which, 6000 are enrolled online through internet. He said the illegible candidates who are within the age of 18 to 35 years can enrol into the Congress youth.

Parliamentary Secretary Md Amin Shah said that youth and women  plays very important role in the election process.
