LAMKA, March 9: Police sources have confirmed that the accused in an alleged fake company case who was arrested yesterday from Churachandpur has been remanded to judicial custody till March 17.
Police have however denied to divulge any details citing that investigations are on.
The alleged fake company `Style broadcasting Service Network Ltd` established way back in 2012 at Saikot Munhoih and not far from the Churachandpur Police station, co-incidentally was detected yesterday.
Sources said the company were unable to support their claim of being a company dealing in 3G mobile service with official papers and document.
The fact that they had no permit to support their claim which is required to start a company led the law enforcement authority under the Superintendent L Mangkhogin Haokip to take the accused to book and start an investigation.
Though the details of the investigations are still being, it is strongly believed that the company is indeed fake and that the suspect had cheated many within the past year with false promises of jobs and service
However, this is not the first time that the people of the district have been defrauded by fake companies.
The police have registered an FIR no. 26(3)2013 Ccpur-ps u/s 0/468/471/384/473/120b IPC against three main accused of the fake company. The accused are Joint Director I Kunjakishor Singh, son of I Pradeep Singh of Wanton Awang Leikai Imphal; Deputy Chairman A Ibochaba Singh of Sangolband Yangkhong Leikai, Imphal and Executive member, I Nilamani Singh (54) son of I Ibobi Singh of Lamboi Leikai.
