IMPHAL, March 9: The JAC formed in connection with the death of a 16 year old of Luker Mayai Leikai has asked for clarifications regarding the news on local papers that the earlier accused, also a 16 yr old is not the one who killed her.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Ningthoujam (O) Jamuna, Secretary of Tairenpokpi Women Welfare Association said the boy had not surrendered to police voluntarily but that the organization had sent him to the police.
It may be mentioned that the deceased 16 year old that set out from her home at 9 pm of March 2, 2013 and was found dead at Haorang Thongkhong under Lamshang Police Station on March 5, 2013.
Yesterday, Lamshang police had said that it had arrested two persons involved in the killing ,namely Mutum Sanajaoba of Maklang Bazar and Lisham Naoba of Maklang Mayai Leikai on March 7, 2013.
