Kangpokpi all set for TET Exam

KANGPOKPI, March 22: Kangpokpi is all set for the forthcoming Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) on March 24, 2013 being conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur.

The examination will be conducted at 12 private centres with 194 invigilators to look after a total of 4636 candidate eligible candidates for the examination at Kangpokpi centre.

According to sources from The Zonal Educational Office, Kangpokpi the examination will commence at 9:30 am for Paper-I (Morning Shift) and at 12:30 pm for Paper-II (Evening Shift). The duration of both papers will be 2 hours each.

The source further added that a total of 3347 candidates will appear for Paper I only while 520 candidates will appear for paper II . 769 candidates will appear for both Papers I & II.

The Zonal Education Officer, Kangpokpi Ngahchong Kipgen has also issued a notification regarding the Examination centres in respect of Kangpokpi today. She further informed that, the examination will be conducted as per the rules and regulations given by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur and the rules and regulations will be strictly followed. Any candidates who do not reach their respective centre in the stipulated time will not be permitted to write the examination, added the officer.

On the other hand, Kangpokpi Town Committee issued a notification to all business establishments besides auto associations to give full service on TET Examination day and to Kangpokpi to Imphal bound buses to extend the last bus timing for an additional 1 hour on this particular day.

The KTC said, in view of the TET Examination and in the interest of the aspiring TET candidates, the Kangpokpi Town Committee has relaxed its bandh on autos plying on Sundays and opening of business establishments on Sundays. Mention may be made that auto services and business establishments are not permitted to ply or open  Sundays at Kangpokpi Town.

Meanwhile, Kangpokpi Youth Union instructed all the candidates who are to appear the coming TET Examination at Kangpokpi centre to abide by the norms and laws of the examination host town. They also urged the candidates not to disrupt the environment unnecessarily by using alcohol or drugs. If any candidates are found against the KYU instructions, they will be dealt with according to the laws of the town, it warned.
