    IMPHAL, March 13: The Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) organized its 10th foundation day at its office at Palace Compound   today.

    Speaking at function the titular king Leisemba Sanajaoba said the people of the state should not neglect the indigenous martial art “Thang-Ta” and Manipuri Pony because they play a major role in the freedom movement of the state.

    He appealed to the concerned authorities to provide attention to the Manipuri Pony as has been the due provided to the state animal “Sangai”.

    He continued that the number of the Manipuri Pony might be less than 1000. The Manipuri martial “Thang-Ta” arts and Manipuri Pony are endangered due to the negligence of state government and the people of the state.
