IMPHAL, March 9: The Maoist Communist Party, Manipur has said in a press statement that its central committee has decided in a meeting that the outfit’s district committee will be expanded to the regional level.
It continued that the party’s administration will be under four regions with a central committee member with the regional committee being in charge of the region.
It has further identified Nongpok-Nganba Meitei as Region 1 bureau in-charge; Machang Meitei as Region 2 bureau in-charge; Leitemba Meitei as region 3 bureau in-charge and Chumthang Meitei as region 4 bureau in-charge.
Further according to the statement, each region bureau will have 11 members each. It has further said that the outfit’s old letter heads will not be used as the outfit has introduced a new letter-head.
