MLA Yamthang pledges developmental projects in Saikul

SAIKUL, March 16 (NNN): A great number of development projects will be set off further in Saikul constituency within five years time under his initiative, pledged MLA Yamthong Haokip on Saturday.

The Saikul constituency MLA was inspecting the completed black topping work on Ring Road in Saikul town.

Yamthong said the black topping work on the 7 km long stretch of the Ring Road was done at the cost of Rs 1 crore.

It has been taken up under the MLA Local Area Development Fund, he said and expressed satisfaction on the black topping work.

He also assured the black topping of the road stretch from Molkon to Saikul bazaar will be finished by May this year.

During the trip he also met with several NGO leaders and many people of the area when he assured them that within five years time, the Saikul constituency will be revamped with more development projects under his initiative.

The local NGO leaders and the public expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and the MLA for the development and construction works being taken up in the constituency.

They also promised that the people of Saikul constituency will lend their fullest cooperation to the state Government in carrying out development works there.

They said, “They are overjoyed with the development projects undertaken in the constituency by the state Government under the leadership of the Chief Minister.”
