Short stint of Question and Answer at State Assembly

IMPHAL, March 8: The 4th session of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly saw a question raised by MLA of Thangmeiband a/c Kh Joykisan Singh asking the date of completion of the road connecting Thangmeiband Kangjabi Leirak and Watham Leirak to DC road via Khoirom Leikai and MM Gas Godown and Premix work at Rupmahal Tank at Thangal Bazar, Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar Singh answered that there is no work as such.

Replying to a question raised by MLA Th Shyamkumar Singh asking the schemes provided to the beneficiaries of MOBC; Chief Minister O Ibobi who is also the in charge of Minority, OBC and SC replied, (A) Economic development programme and in it (i) poultry scheme, (ii) Fishery scheme and (iii) vegetable farming; (B) Housing scheme and (C) Skill development programme and in it (i) embroidery and (ii) bamboo craft.

Replying further on question asking for items provided to vegetable seeds (Hybrid) beneficiary of 2011-12 and its market value, the Minister answered Cabbage seeds (Pride of Fuji) 62.50 gms for Rs 962.50; Cauliflower seeds (White gem) 62.50 gms for Rs 1637.50; Brinjal seeds (Prolific) 62.50 gms for Rs 166.56 and Tomato seeds (Kohinoor) 62.50 gms for Rs 2000.00 with a total of Rs 4766.52.

Replying to a question raised by MLA L Ibomcha Singh asking whether there was any plan of Kwakeithel New and Old Market’s rebuilding or renovation, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh who is in charge of MAHUD said that there is no plan as such.

Replying to a question raised by MLA D Korungthang, asking whether the construction of Diversion road at Moreh Town taken up under ASIDE Scheme by the Department of Commerce and Industries is completed, Commerce and Industries Minister replied “No”.
