Brothers allegedly assualted

LAMKA, April 15: Two brothers were allegedly abused by a drunkard policeman at CCpur last night around 8:30pm.

Sources said the two brothers work in their own workshop at Bijang Family lane were attacked by one Michael a constable at the CCPur station.

The two brothers have been identified as Thong Khomang, 25 and his younger brother Thongminthang, 17 son of Thienthang.

According to sources the constable was driving a pulsar and was in plains cloth at the time.

He abused the two brothers when they tried to help him after he had a near miss accident with a car. When the brothers protested, the police constable allegedly called the two for compromise and later the police came in two jeeps and took the brothers away and made them sign a blank paper, the sources said.

The brothers refuted the police claim that they were drunk and said even though they were not drunk, the police beat them up and made them do push ups following which they had to be taken to the hospital and are still bedridden.

Meanwhile, the father of the two alleged that they were threatened about not to disclosed anything or they would have to face the consequences.
