LAMKA, April 29: Siamsinpawlpi (Paite Student Welfare Association), Mizoram branch had conducted their `career guidance-cum conference program at Mimbung Sialkal Tang, Mizoram,which is near its border with Manipur,on the 25th and 26th of April 2013
The big event for the village was attended by 15 delegate from the general HQ of the SSPP and was also attended by leaders from the Mizoram/ Aizawl based Mizo Zilliai Pawl and and the Mizo Student Union (MSU)General Headquarter.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Mizoram’s lone Paite Minister H Rohluna (Minister for Environment & Forest, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Mizoram) encouraged the students to work hard, and try to be the best in the respective chosen fields.
Lianzapau Samte, James Thanghmingmawia and Zodinpuia, the respective presidents of the Siamsinpawlpi G.HQ, the Mizo Zirlai Pawl G.HQ and the Mizo Students’ Union G.HQ , who all speak on the occasion stressed on the need to have clear goals and the importance of education to the participant.
Resolutions and Declarations expected to bring about far-reaching implications on the socio-economic conditions of the Sialkal Hill Range were passed during the Business Session of the Conference and 500 copies of a guideline book “The accademic handbook of Mizoram after 10+2“ edited bu Lalhruaitluanga were also distributed, free of cost, during the two days program
A cultural nights during the conference saw a packed Mimbung Community Hall swaying to the beats of popular Paite as well as Mizo numbers.
