IMPHAL, April 20: The Communist Party of India has said in a press release that it strongly condemns the brutal killing of Sorokhaibam Babu Singh of Samurou Sorokhaibam, a driver transporting rice and sugar of FCI by some armed men in between Seijang and Charoi Pandongbam along the Imphal Jiribam road on April 17 at 7:30 pm and that it shared the sorrow of the bereaved family. CPI also condemned the setting of the two trucks on fire.
Meanwhile, The All Manipur Intellectual Forum (AMIF), Irabot Research and Commemoration Committee, All Manipur Peasants’ Union, Students’ League of Manipur, All Manipur Democratic Women’s Front and Unified People’s Struggle Committee have in separate press releases also condemned the brutal killing of Sorokhaibam Babu Singh and the setting of two trucks on fire.
