IMPHAL, April 12: The District Election Officer/Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East district has notified in a statement to all the recognized National and State political parties that the EVM strong room at Panchayat Bhavan, Porompat, Imphal East district will be opened everyday from April 15 to 20 at 9 am onwards in connection with the Diagnostic test of EVMs which are not involved in court cases/election Petitions by BEL Engineers. All the representatives of the Political Parties are therefore requested to be present during the opening of the strong room, the statement said.
The opening of the strong room for Khundrakpam, Heingang, Khurai and Lamlai assembly constituencies will be held on April 15 and 16, while for Kshetrigao, Thongju, Yaishkul, Yaishkul and Wangkhei assembly constituencies it will be held on April 17 and 18, and for Keirao and Andro it will be held on April 19 and 20, the statement added.
