IMPHAL, April 4: A press release issued by the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System said that it will launch various forms of agitations alongside the general public to save the indigenous people of Manipur until the Inner Line Permit System comes into force. Despite the assurance that the Centre will look into the matter when the Joint Committee and an all political party representatives led by CM Ibobi met with Home Minister Shinde on 23 November 2012 and 16 January 2013 pressed for implementation of Inner Line Permit System, the silence from the concerned is inviting an uprising of the public. It also appealed to the clubs, Meira Paibis, organizations and elders to launch various forms of sit –in-protests demanding implementation of ILP in Manipur.
