IMPHAL, April 19: The All Zeliarong Students’ Union (Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland) has appealed to all  passenger buses, Tata sumo association, Wingers association, Cruiser service associations, the Driver`s council, private vehicles, churches ministries, village authorities, women societies and concerned citizens to extend fullest their co- operation to the total bandh to be imposed on National Highways with effect from 21 April midnight till Alice Kamei, a class-IX student who has been held captive by RPF/PLA since 10th March is released.

The demand to release the  minor school girl is a very serious issue as such every possible democratic means will be resorted and demonstrated during the bandh in order to give clear and loud message to RPF/PLA, State and Central Govt. against the prolonged captivity. The people as volunteers while enforcing the total bandh will not hesitate to cause or inflict maximum damage to violators or vehicles defying the bandh with consequences and eventuality to be their own responsibility, it said.

The prolonged captivity of the minor girl by the RPF/PLA is a great opportunity for the people to stand in unison and voice against the violation of human rights, it said and cautioned that ignoring the attitude of RPF/PLA has the potential to cause or widen social gaps with possibility to ignite misunderstanding and chaos in the long run which will be regretful.
