IMPHAL, April 29: The proscribed outfit United Revolutionary Front, Manipur has said in a press statement that the outfit as announced earlier has started to keenly watch over all educational institutes in Manipur starting from primary school to the University level.
It has warned that any negligence in terms of the infrastructure provision and education system in the educational institutes will be dealt with immediately.
The effort has been initiated by a Special Task Force under the outfit’s health and education secretary and added that the efforts will ensure the development of a new Education policy for Manipur and as such all concern stakeholders should support and encourage the efforts, it said.
It said that the STF will cover all educational institutions including private schools, higher secondary schools, colleges, government schools, colleges, universities, tuition and coaching centres including the Education department, Board, Council and all concerned bodies.
The first step of the STF will be to look into the private schools under the All Manipur Private School’s Welfare Association and all those which are owned by the association’s advisers or other office bearers, the statement said.
It has further urged all concern to provide all possible assistance to the efforts of the STF.
