IMPHAL, April 16: The Executive Engineer, water supply project construction division, PHED has in a release said that due to less rainfall the water level of Iril River is dropping and following which water supplies in areas under Porompat water treatment plant will be affected, said a DIPR statement.
The Executive Engineer appealed the people of the area to bear with the inconvenience until there is enough water at the river.
While saying that some individuals are illegally pumping water by barring the river flow at the water pumping spot of this Porompat water treatment plant at Topkhongnangkhong, the statement appealed not to do so.
