IMPHAL, April 10: A youth riding a R-15 motorcycle bearing registration no. MN – 05/B – 5341 succumbed to injuries when his motor cycle crashed into an auto rickshaw bearing registration no. MN – 01/ Y – 3926 at Changangei Ucheckon along the Tiddim road under Lamphel police station of Imphal West at around 3 p.m.
The deceased has been identified as Oinam Boris Singh (20), son of O. Chaoba Singh of Oinam Maning Leikai. He was hospitalized at Shija Hospital and Research Institute after his injury and breathed his last at 12.30 a.m. Police registered a case into the matter and the dead body was handed over to family after the post mortem.
Meanwhile, in aunrelated incident a Pulsar borne man knocked down by a Tata oil tanker at Chumbriethong opposite IGAR gate under Heingang police station in Imphal West succumbed to his injuries at Raj Polyclinic located at North AOC. The deceased is identified as Soubam Inaotomba Meitei (40), son of Ibotomba of Awang Potsangbam.
Heingang police station has taken up a case regarding the incident and the oil tanker bearing registration number MN01/ 7515 involved in the accident has been seized by the police.
