LAMKA, May 28: The CCpur District Private School Association (CDPSA) announced their annual program including awarding of district toppers in the resent BSEM and COHSEM conducted and declared board exams.
Addressing a press conference its office at Central Lamka, a spokesperson said that Schools under the association had made an impressive 80.5 pass percentage compared to the government schools which barely made 50 %.
The president of CDPSA T Chinsuanthang said that this exercise is done so as to encourage the student community of the district to excel more and secure better positions as the past few years have failed to produce any topper in the first 25 positions though the pass percentage of the district is one of the highest.
The `CCpur dist. topper award 2013` award will be distributed to the first three toppers of the BSEM Examination result of 2013.
The awards will carry Rs 10000, Rs 8000, Rs 6000 for the first second and third from the district respectively.
As for COHSEM, the stream of Arts, Commerce and Science topper in the district will get Rs 8000 each.
The prize distribution ceremony will held on June 19, at Children Training Higher Secondary School, SA Road with the chairman of BSEM, P Dhanakumar expected to grace as the chief guest.
In this regard, the president of CDPSA asked all the constituent members of the association to furnish the names of their toppers starting from June 3 ending on June 7.
